Amazima means “Truth” {a GIVEAWAY!!!} — (now closed)

It’s giveaway day! (<–I’ve been wanting to say that for awhile now!)

Today I’m hosting my first ever giveaway in an effort to highlight a ministry founded by a girl whose story has radically affected me. I blogged about her book a while back, and since then I’ve come across countless others who have been as moved by her story as I have.

Amazima Ministries, founded by Katie Davis in 2007, endeavors to “care for orphaned and vulnerable children and the poor because God commands us as Christians to love our neighbors, and to lay down our lives for our friends.”

I encourage you to read more of Katie’s story if you haven’t already, either in the book or on her blog. It’s a story that just might mess with you a little, too.

Today I have three beautiful new one-of-a-kind necklaces to give away, all handmade by Ugandan women from magazine pages!

I LOVE these!!

Here are the multi-colored

and the blue (not currently available online) …

and the green (also unavailable currently) …

I have multi-colored and blue myself, but I’m also coveting the green a little. I really love my beads, and I think you will, too.

This video shows how the beads are made. It’s so cool!

The purpose of this giveaway is to highlight Katie’s ministry, so subscribing to Make Me A Mary won’t gain you extra entries (but by all means, follow me if you want because I’d love to have you!) …

Here are the four ways you can win. Please leave a SEPARATE comment below for each option you choose.

    1. Tweet this giveaway.
    2. Tweet about Amazima Ministries.
    3. “Like” Amazima Ministries on Facebook.
    4.  this giveaway on Facebook

This giveaway will run today through Sunday, February 26, at 11:59 CST. I will announce the three winners on Monday, February 27.

* Colors will be dispersed in order of name drawn. (In other words, if your name is drawn first, you get to choose first!) Names will be chosen by Random.org.

As you take a look at this ministry, if you feel led to help, you can give online right here. It won’t earn you an extra entry, but  your eternal reward will be far greater than jewelry anyway. If you aren’t comfortable giving online, you can use this address:

Amazima Ministries International
PO Box 682521
Franklin, TN 37068-2521

I’m also highlighting Amazima Ministries over at Sisters in Bloom today. Stop in for a visit—we’d love to see you over there.

Good luck, and blessings to you!
